Tea Stops with... Eskah Labelle @ LIVE or DEAD LondonIslington

I was taken aback with the LIVE performance of Eskah Labelle (above Photo~Kakembo London) at Live or Dead London Islington.
The show showcases upcoming artist's/ bands and Eskah was one of the great acts to captavate the growing audience that filled the upstairs lounge with, comfy couch's, red vintage stool seats, buzzing bar and creative people alike.
Having sang ...
-Leaving you (from her first single) followed by
-Here with you
- Im sorry
- Ghetto
-Shes fire
Eskah's wowed everyone what she describes as her jazzy neo tone  voice, I had to 'tea Stop' the songstress...

Tea - Miss Eskah Labelle what were your two favorite songs you perfomed for us tonight and why?

Eskah Labelle - My favourite are 'here with you' and 'she's fire!' Relates to society and enables me to reach my fans !

Tea - In one word how would you describe this event 'Live or Dead' ?

ELB - Beautiful what an amazing venue! I like the concept and the location reminds me of "vintage" moment

Tea- Exactly I was noting that in my head also LOL

Tea- What two British artist do you admire and their style?

ELB- Honestly two is not fair I admire more artists clothe wise lool well let's see hmmmm...

*Shanghai from "the noisette', its edgy quirky just like me with a natural african cent

* Florence(Florence and the Machine) her hair is always looking glam she's vintage but makes it modern

Tea - What does singing and performing mean to you?

ELB - Its a way of communicating emotions, singing enables me to release myself and brings me closer to my inner spirit! to me performing is perfecting a moment which is important I'm a bit of a perfectionist lol.

Tea- What major British events shows /gigs can you see yourself playing at?

ELB - I'm hoping to play at "isle of wright" festival or a jazz one I heard that the one in france is overly crowded which would be a challenge for me!

I"ll loved performing at the 02 indigo and will love to do it again

Tea- What song will be the next single?

ELB - Hopefully "she's fire" but its yet to be confirmed lol

Tea -What items of clothing or acessorys can EskahLabelle NOT live without?

*Red lipstick
* My vintage scarf! They remind me of back home in france which highlights my roots

Tea -  How do you know what style is?

ELB - I like to keep up to date with the latest trend in fashion! I like to watch catwalks honestly if I was 5ft9 I would of had been a catwalk model! I worked for designers and like the concept of creating something unique. I use my personal touch to enhance my style just like a signature walk!

Eskah Labelle throughly enjoyed the evening thank you for your time

Teastopped... London

Deciceding whether I should take train or bus home from a days worth of  busyness can be hard. While racking my brain 476 bus flew past me outside KingsCross St Pancras. Yep ... bus it will be.
Hopping on to the bus and bleeping thee Osyter (they really need to get rid of that thing) I had to Stop this cool chicka !

How the outfit has been arranged is so VERSATILE ! Change a vest top many times ... black , orange, purple, lemon yellow for diffrent occasions, also the ever so SWEET transparent bow necklace, tastfully breaks up the contrast of the hat with its caramel band against the jacket. She has stated her own style, and has captured my attention.

We all know the weather for summer hasnt been much of a freind latley with rain and odd coldness, therfore how this outfit  has been put togther I really have to applaud as it caters for a mid- summer autumn vibe.
For ending of July into August you could rock this outfit with shorts or coloured jeans  such as brown or green , and quietly calm down the outfit with   original naveyblue  jeans for autumn. Match it with pilmsoles, heels , hightop pumas, DrMartins nee high boots  sling backs, jellys peep toes... I can go on
Work colours on a  summer blazer or jacket  that suit your personality
The silk bommer jacket with its bold colours gold, teal and pink wild flowers really sets off the confident fun vibe for the summer and the forthcoming seasons.

Tea stops with... URSTUNNERZ

2010 the idea was in motion now 2011 it’s launched. Having heard everyone talking about the new funky on trend fashion statement Sunglasses I had to pry, and set off to meet in the most extreme shopping extravaganza experience, two vibrant West London ladies in Westfield (left Ufuoma22 and right Sandra23) about their business URSTUNNERZ.

Tea - Why' URSTUNNERZ' girlies where did it come from?

Ufuoma-
We wanted a name that actually would integrate both of out names my names Ufuoma which begins with a U and Sandra with an S, so we thought what names fits in with both of us!
Sandra was like what about UrStunnerz?
And from there I said you know what I LOVE IT! It portrays our swag, at the same time our names are involved. So UrStunnerz

Tea- Explain what Swagg is because I know but maybe everyone else might need notifying

Sandra -
Swagg can be everything, depending on the individual and depending on your personality when some one has swag you are born with swagg naturally and physically you know how to put two and two together. When someone sees you they know you are a hot piece of cake its that aura you spread around you.

U-
You don’t have to be the most fashionable person, you might just have that (casually pauses) … swag! That confidence when you walking people can see it and feel it.

Tea- How did this business start?

S-
One day we were talking and wanted to do something…
(Ufoma joins)

Everyone starts a clothing line were are very much into fashion but didn’t want to go down the clothing route, we thought lets do something that’s different The UK market hasn’t targeted yet developing eclectic sunglasses its quite common in America but not so much this side of the world, UK and Europe itself. We thought to take it somewhere different. It’s all about being different and we are creative people.

Tea- Why sunglasses?
S-
Sunglasses is a piece of accessory it adds to your swag. When you have on your sunglasses, I don’t know about other people but I feel fly, depending on the sunglasses your wearing. When your wearing UrStunnerz it’s a statement people will ask where you got them from.

Tea- Do you believe glasses work better than tee shirt? because it is and has always been a big thing, easy and accessible to do.
U-
To be honest you look at Victoria Beckham, Rihanna, Amber Rose to name a few they have always had on a pair of fly sun glasses, whether its sun rain night day. Its not about jewellery or tee-shirts per say you can still do tee shirts but when you have a pair of sunglasses on you could be wearing all black but when the sunglasses are hot and interesting! Its sets the whole outfit off.
S-
Even if you go out to a club, fashion shows ect.. It’s a statement

Tea- How are the glasses all made?
U-
They are all hand made, we buy our materials abroad we travel, everything that we do is hand made.
Each individual glasses are bespoke glasses each one of them we only make two pairs, a sample and ones for the clients. We create what we feel, we don’t have design books.

Tea- Which UK artist/ celebrity Would you like to see wear your glasses? Victoria Beckham Fashion Designer Business woman*Image not taken/responsible of the writer

(Both state)

Jessie J ... confirmed.

Tea- Do you feel she has that British style?    Jessie J SongWriter and Singer *Image not taken/responsible of the writer

(Both)

Definitely

So what about Keira Knightly?
U-
She could wear our shades but no so much the wild risk taking ones maybe our more mellow ones like this… (Pulls out glasses from gold pocket protector)

Tea- Have you given a name to that particular glasses?
S-
'White goggle frame' it has white crystals to wear day or night

(I jump in for the experience and try on)

Miss Knightley British Actress and Model humble image inculded by 'UrStunnerz'(*Image not taken/responsible of the writer)
Tea- So how would I wear these in the day?
U-
Biker boots, heels, wedges
Tea- How has working as a team helped you, as buisness partners and with the lauch of the
 website?
U-
Everything has been kept in the family… this is my cousin (turns to Sandra) we done this fashion shoot for the web together. People can be sceptical but usually are willing to help for example some people we know have done modelling before.

Tea- Anyone you would like to thank give a shout out to?

(Both smile and announce happily)

ADD he’s fantastic to work with and Gideon as well. Abdul he designed the website its been a pleasure its nice to work with people that are upcoming together.

Tea- How do you make decisions?
S-
Our personality’s are the same if you notice we wear the same clothes, we know want we want and go with it. With our degrees in Accountancy and IT rubs well together for this business. We discuss thoughts and more time it works.

Tea- Who inspires you influences you?

(Laugh together)

S-
Our family theres alot of role models their and my sister she designs

U-
Fashion in general inspires me. Fashion is like art is all about being creative, and wearing what you want to wear.

Tea- So would there be a priority type of dressing for you such as a vintage, chic or high fashion look?

U-
No.  no ! You could see me in my Louboutins one-day then doc Martins rocking the UrStunnerz

Tea- What is the future/ other projects for UrStunners?

U-
The future is taking it to the next level Topshop, London Fashion week would be great

Tea- You mentioned Topshop, which is British, and very big over in the states now it seems you’re proud to be British designer and a Londoner?

S- Yeah100% we have to set off in out own turfs. As Brits londoners we tend to have this vibe everyone knows …they know
#####

Teastopped... Leicester

Freshly sweet this young lady stood patiently waiting for someone, till I snapped her up for the discussion of her outfit.

Cotton dress and linen blazer ...so simple and cool for this summer afternoon, the subtle folds gather at the top of the bust which allow a nice rhythm at the top of the dress and end crisply at floor length. Also the excitement of the draped ends of the armless blazer brings everything together.
The Gypsy chain flower neckless compliments the sweetness of the sandals which finishes off with shell gathered bracelets on her wrists, which I believe adds her own personal touch.

The wide brim straw hat can be pushed back for a more festival look or more forwards for that un recognizable sassy chic feel.
Tousle hair looks sweet with the flowing outfit, as does straight hair however if you have curly hair, choppy hair or single braids.

If you havea mohawk (which I usually rock in the summer) or more of a stylized hairdo which slighly prevents the headwear of a hat... rev up the excitement with a red lip, intresting headband, bold earrings, or shades!

Work your look with your signature style! Look in... Monsoon, H&M, Riverisland, Barretts Claires accessories, Debenhams.

Day3/4 Diary of Sarah Platts

So the Americans call it Purse/Pocket book while the British go with Hand bag.
Whatever you choose to call it, we all know it comes in various sizes and colours suiting both sexes. Guys you can stop rolling your eyes at us females as I see you flocking to get that Barbour, addias, Disel messenger man bag! (smile)
Today im going to highlight why diffrent styles of bags are needed in peoples lifestyles, and how detail is important on a bag however quite or loud you want to get.

Sarah was out with the girlies in the week and opted for her printed leopard cluch. Bold exciting and on trend for her occastion allowing keys lipgloss, iphone, cash is good to go for a afternoon banter with the girls. With the cluch, dress it down with jeans as Sarah going with fitted turn up jeans.
I would wear black dress scarf and pumps, now this leads me to this example
lady at door number 6 has alot to carry from the office and usually stops off all over London and who also regularly meets with freinds after, has a massive shoulder bold green tote while my mum not shonning the clunch (as shes had a lifetime of them) just preferes medium room service inside, little handels with fine stiched details and now wants a mature outlook and is only stopping to a freinds for a short time.
See what im getting at?
The daily hussel and bussle (or not) is a easy way for you to think to clamp down on what works for you, having the right bag benfits the needs you need for the hour, day, evening or a lifetime instead of having a war about the space your struggling to get from a bag, which I really dislike!

Thursday Sarah gets out another statment bag(we can tell shes a hard core cluch girl!) as she dines out with the girls rocking her favorite shoes which I can only guess why as the lighting cut out deatils around the border of the black shoes heavily compliment the details of her greekgoddess tribal inspired cluch. Dresses, jeans, long, short, vesttop, buttoned blouse cardigan, scarf.
Create the vibe you want to bring, and enjoy! Serach in... ASOS, RiverIsland, Selfridges&Co, BrickLane, Primark, your local high street your mother, a cool aunt or old school granma's waldrobe!

Tea time ~ Tuesday 7th June 12noon Leicester

Sorting out last minute tasks before I return home to London I had to stop this girl speaking to her mum as they were waititng at the bus stop and and I promised I wouldnt make her miss her bus by my camera snapping !

I love the way her mustard dress projects a street lifestyle with its punchy attitude from the draw string tie at the top of the jumper she has assembled a illusion like its apart of the dress. The push pull colours hold the outfit together with the black contrasting ripped tights, whether she did the ripping herself or bought them like that I couldnt care less it WORKS !
Along with red van shoes, blacked out hoody and cute black lace school girl socks

lenghtens her lenghts and adds a tad bit of girlyness to it. Red lips , cropped ravelled up hair do and her Burberry vintage backpack. This chicka I admire and has sealed my opinoun on what is is to have personal style.
No jewellery is nessersary however throw on a ring or small statment earrings.
All what she is wearing is accessable meaning anyone should be able to find a inexpensive plain hoddie somewhere! Maybe purple hoddie with a custom made tee and demin black mini skirt with tights and flat highnee boots or battered converse's could be way to go! by the way that all was visioned from the top off my head because thats how I would dress.

Embrace who you are regardless of what people think or whats 'IN TREND'
Agyness Deyn and my fav icon Annie Lennox never fail to know who they are and rebel attires.

GFW (Graduate Fashion week) Monday 6th June 2011

Supporting upcoming creativty is paramount to me as it is the uknown and exciting feeling of who and what is to become. I was happy to attened GFW when Amanda Salway upcoming menswear designer (good freind of mines) personally invited me to view the exhibtion stands and the DMU (Demonford Univeristy)catwalk show.
This event captivates all of the graduating designers approximately 50 university's around the UK to expose and produce their innovative creations for the fashion industry.

Whilst their I was intrigue by Bristol's exhibtion stand, their unexpected range of materials was fantastic and was invited to join their catwalk show ... within the next 20mins ha !
Alexandara Nicholson collection was extraordinary with a diverse amount of vibrant textile's within all her assemblements.
However supporting the establishment im in, DMU catwalk collection was very impressive.
with the likes of Sophie Kempner street glamour feel and Shivani Chavda orientail bold reptile prints and many more. The overall platform for the event was brillent, so I should look forward to support DMU again next year June 2012 for my fellow freinds and designers at graduate fashion week.

The GFW was sponsored by George ASDA and rimmel London, (fantastic job on the models make by the way) taken place at Earls court central LONDON. District Line (greenline) show starts 6th ends 8th June.
Tickets maybe sold out but still check via www.gfw.org.uk

Day2 Sara Platts

''FAVOURITE''
At 13.34 Sarah introduces me to her unsual but favourite accessory. Today she wears a knuckle duster however Iv been seeing so many in the last two years or so... Im bored because everyone has the same typical ones gold, sliver slotted chunky bling ect..
So I was suprised and warmed to the diffrence with this one.
Sarahs ring shapes itself in a oblong mannor and has that timless vintage qulailty. It silver tone would look good with jeans and a vest top, old school wrapp dress, culottes and a crumpled shirt.

It shows that not every ring needs to be TYPICAL, and again when you truly find a ring that suits your personality. Also the amount of wearablity it can get, your good to go!
When I state 'wearablity' I mean how many times would you wear a big ol' knuckle duster with a evening dress or to lunch or on a first date?
Having a variety of accessory's you know can work with any item of clothing helps and saves money. You dont need a over flowing draw of rings to wear, unless thats your 'SIGNITURE STYLE' that people notice or know about you. A few accessorys can help.

I get all my rings in local markets and warehouses, I know topshops good but I myself can find better orginality and style with the places I mentioned.
Shepards bush market have wicked stuff in london but then again label brands such as Jade Jagger jewellery is very edgy and amazing with the price to kill. haaa!

Check out www.jadejagger.co.uk
Jump on Hammersmith and city line from kingscross to shepards bush *as you exit cross over cant miss it!

Tea discusses the diary of style looking @... Sarah Platts

Friday 3rd June 2011 12:08
"LOVE the JUMPSUIT or HATE IT "

As part of the blog I will collect images of people (I do and dont know ) who intrest me with how they have assembled their daily outfits.
More enjoyable projects for myself and the inspiration from Amanda Brookes'I love Your Style', has inspired me to do.

Miss Platts has a fearless way of wearing whatever she wants and when she wants, and her style follows in that order.
I know her through Univeristy and when I've been dashing around, along the path I have glimpse her tailored trousers or layered vintaged scarfs.

Today at noon in her hometown Peterbourgh Sarah's ready to chill with friends.
The Jumpsuit ...
Exactly the jumpsuit should be the most comfortable piece a girl. Some belive you have to be tall nahh, I say the industry expects it work with tallness however im 5'3 and I get compliments about the colour and the shape on me.
Which leads me to talk about how patterns on Sarahs Jumpsuit are emphasised all over,
noone really needs to add any accessorys or dramatic jewellery to the outfit. The loud patterned flowers do the yelling!
Although the upper bust is made with a elsatic band for addtional support BELTS can be added.
Why ? ..

The black belt on Sarah, neatens her waist more and tones down just a tad bit on the printed jumpsuit but still doesn't distract or overrule the statement its making.
Also embrace who you are and what attracts you maybe big prints or tribe patterns or isnt your thing on jumpsuits or maxi dresses .. plain block colours look sweet too Greys, Reds, Browns are more humble for thoose that like to keep the modest accessable look. Also some might throw on sandels some wedges some plimsoles or killer heels (Id suggest killer heeels at night haha)

For now Sarahs chillin in the garden with mates.. bare feets more than enough hippy chic!

British girl (whom i miss on our Tv these days) Cat Deely Tv and radio presenter rocks a eletric blue playsuit only accompanied with dangle earrings.
